Challenge
To provide network upgrade to enable a single cable to carry data, voice and video to each room. Two sites: one new; one with existing infrastructure. To deploy guest wifi in existing
hotel rooms. (There had been bad google and trip advisor reviews)
Solution
Compete network design, deployment and cable migration based on G-PON technology. New L2, L3 and routers installation, also connected to current VOIP system. Future-proof new building with 1 gigabit fiberbased wifi network. Reduce cable runs. Gigipoint passive optical network (G-PON) in new building. Mesh wifi in the existing building. 9 repeaters on existing cable runs. Gateway repeater, power only to repeat wifi signal.
Results
A hybrid solution provided significant cost reduction in cabling. Future-proof fiber connection to each room.
